We saw one of the last performances of "Tales of the City Thursday night.  OMG, I am in such a 70's mood (to quote a friend)!  Good period-evoking music, and well done costumes.  Unlike the NY Times review, the very clever set kinda grew on me after awhile.  The acting and singing were very good; it's hard to single out any one character.  Mary Anne gets some of the best songs, although IMHO, Michael (mouse) gets the very best, his reading of his coming out letter to his parents.  It is a bit long, but I have a hard time trying to figure out what to cut.
