Finally, a clear article about the light bulb change over. May I offer some advice since your situation is unique among my online friends? I've had good luck with both the Philips and the Home Depot house brand LED replacement lamps. I've installed two of the Home Depot LED downlight converters; they're 10.5W, contain a Cree LED chip and they're shockingly bright. I haven't been able to find any outdoor LED fixtures which were low enough wattage, so I used incandescent fixtures and screw in 8.5W LED converters. Bonus! LEDs don't emit UV, so my outdoor lighting no longer attracts insects. There are also some really good Philips LED T8 fluorescent lamp replacements, but they're pricey at $55 wholesale for a four footer.
