"Snow,
Oh, to see a great big man entirely made of snow"
(from White Christmas)
Well, here it is, already mid-December. In less than a week, I leave for Philly, to spend time with my Mom and family for Christmas. David goes off to Ohio to do the same, I'll meet him there the day after Christmas. It'll be good to be back east for a bit,and even to spend a few day's with David's family. But I'll be glad to return home.
As usual, we spent most of the weekend up in Mendocino. It's hard to describe, and even though Lisa's line on Green Acres usually describes me ("no, New York is where I'd rather stay"), I'll readily admit that I just love it up there!
We woke up this morning to an earnest snow storm, although looking down the valley it was clear that the buck had stopped here. We're at 2,700 feet, and the snow line was about 2,000 feet. It was quiet, it was warm inside, and it was so fucking beautiful.

It's incredible! The layout is about the size of my entire apartment! It has all manner of extras -
Ice skaters on a frzoen pond, men doing construction work, an old man in an outhouse, and much more!
Let me know if you'll be back next Christmas, and I would be happy to show you. You'd love it!
