Light Bulbs
Aug. 11th, 2011 09:53 pmA while ago,
wescobear posted about the upcoming regulations regarding the phase out of certain types of incandescent lamps (bulbs). I saw this article in the New York Times a day ago, and it's a pretty good explanation of what to expect. Turns out that incandescent bulbs are NOT going away, they just have to be more efficient. However, as other means of producing light get better, such as fluorescent and LED, I'll make the swtich, if only for the savings in energy costs. We are definitely in the process of changing over at our off the grid Mendocino place, as we really need to watch the battery drain in the winter.
