2008 Has Started

2007 ended well. The solstice party at Capy and Joe's was great - so good to see old friends (Jason & Steve, Mark & Steve), and to meet some new faces. The snowman was "the bomb" for me!
Me and David spent the whole of Christmas week at our place in Willits, with friends. We even got to experience some snow, although it came on the day after Christmas. We were able to socialize with our neighbors, which we don't often get to do. It was hard coming back to the bay area on New Year's day.
I now find myself trying to get an idea of what 2008 is going to be for me. No resolutions yet, just trying to figure out how what happened last year fits into the scheme of things. The house in Willits is practically done, and work is going pretty well. Me and David are doing OK, too, without the stress of construction overshadowing everything.
We've got to do some serious traveling this year, maybe to Asia (although the draw to go to Paris is strong...). We'd put lots of stuff on hold due to the construction, so we need to get out and enjoy life a little bit more.
We've talked about eating better, too, although I'll have to cut out the trips to Village Imports in Brisbane. There IS the cute cub who works at the local Trader Joe's, which is a decent substitute.
I'm not going to IBR this year, although the draw is strong (men, bearded men!).
Did I say no resolutions? I guess I fibbed a little bit...
Here's to the best year ever to you and yours, and that I get out an about to see more of you all this year.
Love and hugs,
Albert
