Beards, Big, Red, and Fluffy!

So, last December me and David are having dinner with an old friend at Cafe Bastille on Belden Lane (outside, in the alley) in SF.  I'm sitting so I can see down the alley to the California street end.  About half-way through dinner, a group of young men arrive, and are seated about two restaurants down.  The usual group of young techy-types, except I see that one has this incredible red beard.  As we leave after dinner, I just had to walk up to this gentleman to heap praises on his beard.  He accepted the praises, somewhat shyly, in front of his associates. 

Fast forward to Saturday - I'm reading the Chronicle, and there he is, in the Datebook section!  See for yourself...

Wow!! Now I understand why you had to compliment the man on his beard - it's incredible!! Damn, that is one ULTRA - thick, beautiful beard!

Yes it is. Also, he's quite a cutie! I saw him recenty in our 'hood in Berkeley, with a woman friend. I resisted running up to hem and running my fingers through his beard....

Understood. I read up on him at a Beard Club page.. he's only 23, and he has that beautiful long beard! He must have started growing it when he was very young, maybe around 17.. because that's a beard that has been growing for YEARS!!
